A group of like minded individuals submit a proposal to Nottm City Council Arts & Events for a new event for their Arboretum Summer Season of festivals. Arts & Events like the proposal and give the group the go ahead. Chill in the Park 2005 takes place in July. The modest but successful event demonstrates the wealth of diverse musical talent in Nottingham and, most importantly, an audience for it. The group form a committee and set up the voluntary organisation Chilled Produce.

As a constituted voluntary organisation Chilled Produce are able to apply for public funding to "support and promote local music from around the world." A funding application is submitted to Notts Community Foundation to cover the costs of running the new organisation and its activities during its first year.

Chilled Produce re-establish their links with various community organisations, 'talent scout' for music to promote and start their Artiste database.

Chill in the Park 2006 takes place in July and partly thanks to the weather is one of the most well attended events to take place at the Arboretum that year. The same week Clubz Global takes place.

Chilled Produce begin their relationship with the Golden Fleece and launch the Soundz Global nights there in October with another taking place the following month. The DJ project Tranz Global also begins there in December.

The 3rd and final Soundz Global takes place in March, the 3rd and final Chill in the Park 2007 takes place in July and what ends up being Chilled Produce's final live event of the year, Square Rootz at NNRF, follows a couple weeks later.

Tranz Global ends in September and Chilled Produce finish the year submitting funding applications for their Arboretum event for 2008.

2008
Chilled Produce are unsuccessful with some of their funding applications which results in no Arboretum event taking place. Throughout the year Chilled Produce continue to link up with community groups and other promoters, 'talent scout' for music to promote and build their Artiste Database. An indoor event is planned before the end of the year but due to organisational issues is postponed until 2009.
