It's a bit of an odd name innit?
True, however we were keen to refer to the event from whence we came. Chill in the Park. We also wanted to ensure the name communicated what we're often about. Frozen puff pastry anyone?

How did you get the Arboretum Park?
The Council have been running a Summer Season there for a couple of years now. They're open to ideas. We put ours forward to them in 2005. However, due to noise restrictions your ideas need to be suitable. Also, as with all public events, there is a certain amount of hoop jumping to be done.

How could I get to do something there?
By contacting the Council. Contact them by e-mail: arboretum@nottinghamcity.gov.uk. There are also possibilities at other parks around the city, especially Victoria Embankment bandstand.

Where do you find your acts?
We have a dedicated team of spotters who frequent open mic nights, other music events, as well as, community events. We also go on the recommendations of trusted colleagues. Finally we listen to demos. See Live Music FAQ for more info or how to get involved.

What happens when you spot people?

• We give them our info leaflet/flyer.
• We sometimes ask them for their email address.
• If we have their email address within a week we send out our Standard Email to them.
